A Bailarina
João Mineiro e Marciano
The Ballerina
She was almost a child
In the sweet dreams of a girl
She wanted to be famous
She wanted to be a ballerina
And she said goodbye so young
Against her parents' wishes
And went to chase her dreams
Never came back again
To tell her story
I don’t need much
She was always deceived
And things have changed
In the end, she lost her career
Became in life
A famous mistress
That many loved
The ballerina succeeded
And has way too much fame
She’s just different
But the path, though
She doesn’t dance on stage
She takes one at a time
In that pretty room
The audience comes
Every now and then she cries
Remembers the dream she had
If she had known it all
She wouldn’t have tried
In this dance of now
The song is very sad
She hugs the fan who pays her
Fame was an illusion
To tell her story
I don’t need much
She was always deceived
And things have changed
In the end, she lost her career
Became in life
A famous mistress
That many loved
The ballerina succeeded
And has way too much fame
She’s just different
But the path, though
She doesn’t dance on stage
She takes one at a time
In that pretty room
The audience comes
