O Cantor e o Peão
João Mineiro e Marciano
The Singer and the Cowboy
I will sing and talk about a brother
Who lives life differently from the singer
Everyone knows him by the name of cowboy
In what he does, there is also a lot of love
While I sing, he gets on the mount
Adjusts the saddle while I write poetry
Light the fire and come closer, companion
The cowboy's companion is the guitarist
If it weren't for my guitar
If music didn't do me good
I would stop being a singer, now
To be a cowboy too
The life of a cowboy is enjoyable
To wake up with the cattle on the road
I sing looking at the silver Moon
He remembers the girlfriend who stayed in the backcountry
It's nice to see the chestnut horse
In its gallop raising dust from the ground
Grab the bull while I tune the guitar
Tell the story as it was while I sing a song
