O Cantor e o Peão
João Mineiro e Marciano
The Singer and the Cowboy
I’m gonna sing and talk about a brother
Who lives life different from the singer
Everyone knows him by the name of cowboy
In what he does, there’s a lot of love too
While I sing, he’s saddling up
Adjusts the saddle while I write my poetry
Light the fire and come close, my friend
The cowboy’s buddy is the guitar player
If it weren’t for my guitar
If music didn’t do me good
I’d stop being a singer right now
To be a cowboy too
If it weren’t for my guitar
If music didn’t do me good
I’d stop being a singer right now
To be a cowboy too
Life as a cowboy is sweet
Waking up with the cattle on the dirt road
I’ll sing while looking at the silver moon
He thinks of the girlfriend he left back in the backcountry
It’s nice to see the chestnut horse in its gallop
Clip clop on the ground
Grab the bull while I tune my guitar
Tell the story as it was while I sing a song
If it weren’t for my guitar
If music didn’t do me good
I’d stop being a singer right now
To be a cowboy too
If it weren’t for my guitar
If music didn’t do me good
I’d stop being a singer right now
To be a cowboy too
To be a cowboy too
