Beyond the Mirror

When I look at my eye beyond the mirror
There's someone looking at me and it's not me
Living inside my red eye
It's the gaze of my father who has already passed away
My eye looks like a device
Of someone who always looked at me and protected me
Just as my eye gives advice
When I look into the eyes of my child

Life is truly a mission
Death an illusion
Only those who have lived know
Because when the mirror is good
No one has ever died

Whenever one of my children gives me a kiss
I know that my father's love has not been lost
Just by looking at his gaze I know his desire
Just as my father knew mine
But my father left in the procession
And in the mirror I cried because it hurt
But seeing my child now I see
He is the mirror of the mirror that is me

Life is truly a mission
Death an illusion
Only those who have lived know
Because when the mirror is good
No one has ever died

Every image reflected in the mirror
Has a thousand faces that time has captured there
Everyone has something repeated
A piece of who conceived us
My father's mission has been fulfilled
I will fulfill the mission that God gave me
If my father was the mirror in my life
I want to be a mirror for my child

Life is truly a mission
Death an illusion
Only those who have lived know
Because when the mirror is good
No one has ever died

Life is truly a mission
Death an illusion
Only those who have lived know
Because when the mirror is good
No one has ever died

My greatest fear is the mirror breaking
My greatest fear is the mirror breaking
My greatest fear is the mirror breaking
My greatest fear is the mirror breaking
