Circles
Often the start and the end are the same point
Since birth, the same blood pumps through our veins
Every year we start freezing at the same time
We blow rings into the air until the smoke fades
We hold on tight when the earth spins around
And we turn with it when the hands go round
Hey, when everything moves in circles
You go left, I go right
And eventually our paths cross
When we see each other again
Hey, when everything moves in circles
You go left, I go right
But we won't stand still
Until we see each other again
The circle draws on the blank page every day
And the moon takes over from the sun every night
I wonder again what’s happening with you
Poetry on the wall in the bar's restroom
Don’t hold on to what you love, just let it go
And if it comes back, then it belongs to you
Hey, when everything moves in circles
You go left, I go right
And eventually our paths cross
When we see each other again
Hey, when everything moves in circles
You go left, I go right
But we won't stand still
Until we see each other again
No matter how far we drift apart
On the boards, I still see us
(Still us)
No matter how far apart we are
We have the same center point
Hey, when everything moves in circles
You go left, I go right
And eventually our paths cross
When we see each other again
Hey, when everything moves in circles
You go left, I go right
And eventually our paths cross
When we see each other again
Hey, when everything moves in circles
You go left, I go right
But we won't stand still
Until we see each other again
