Walking on Sunset

Walking on Sunset
WANDERING AT SUNSET
I watch (I’m keeping an eye) all these people
walking, like the waves, along the shore.
They lean around the whiskey
and each one steps into a bar.
I’m walking at sunset...
I never reach (hit) its end.
I’m walking at sunset...
everything and everyone feels like friends.
So many women...
I’ve never seen a better chat.
The music’s all around
and the neon signs just won’t stop.
Sitting on a corner
I’m checking out every kind of car.
Friendly folks come and talk to me
saying they want to meet their idol.
The squares are in their cars,
but they’ve never bothered me.
It’s a new and magical world
and I’ve never felt so free.
