Zambita Pa' Don Rosendo

The harvest has begun
The workers go to the vineyards
And there goes Rosendo in a cart
Whipping his mare hard

They started from the majuelo
Then they will go to Las Rosas
They will continue to Vallejo's place
At Fernandez's, a new vineyard

Here comes Rosendo down the new street
Bringing in his cart the fruit of God
And in Don Pedro's cellar
All that grape will turn into wine

In the vineyard and the cellar
The workers will sing
This zambita that was born
Among the vineyards of my Aminga

They go along the furrows gathering
Sweet grapes like honey
And in their little baskets of poleo
They go filling the cart at a trot
