Madre Tierra

Mother Earth
Mother Earth is a single mother,
uuh, her moon is not made of honey.
He left two years ago,
leaving her in sweet anticipation.
And her heart no longer waits for him.
Mother Earth is still young
uuh, in the prime of her life
crossing the sky,
hair in the wind
and the child on her hip,
I turned to watch her go by.
Through the blue,
blue of the sky
uuh, in her dress the color of the sea.
Mother Earth is unemployed
uuh, but she knows how to fight,
and some nights
she fills in
as a waitress
if the neighbor watches her kid...
Mother Earth waits my table
'Soon we'll be closing,' she says.
I tell her: 'I saw you with your child,
we live on the same street
can I walk you home if you're leaving now?'
Through the blue,
blue of the sky...
uuh, in her dress the color of the sea
