Un País Con El Nombre de Un Río
Jorge Drexler
A Country With the Name of a River
I come from an empty meadow
a country with the name of a river
a forgotten Eden
a field by the sea
Few open roads
every eye at the airport
Some golden years
A town accustomed to yearning
How hard it is for me to love you
It's hard for me to lose you
It's hard for me to forget
The smell of wet earth
The sea breeze,
Sea breeze...
Take me home, sea breeze
Where will my home be?, sea breeze
Take me home, sea breeze
A dream and a passport
like birds we seek the north
when winter approaches and the cold begins to bite
And this is a long winter
several decades of bitter drinks
and we grew older waiting for the flowers
of the Jacaranda tree.
How hard it is for me to leave
It's hard for me to stay
It's hard for me to forget
The smell of wet earth
The sea breeze
Sea breeze...
Take me home, sea breeze
Where will my home be?, sea breeze
Take me home, sea breeze
I come from an empty meadow
A country with the name of a river
I come from an empty meadow
A country with the name of a river, with the name of a river...
