Bolivia

Bolivia
Europe, 1939
Everyone said no in the chancelleries
(Years of hot war
Several years before the cold war)
Everyone said no
When Bolivia said yes
Berlin was a nest of rats
The paladin of bravado, shouting
Filling stadiums
With a barren wasteland of Aryan delirium
A barren wasteland of Aryan delirium
The doors were closing
Time hung by a thread
And that child in the arms of my grandparents
And the panic was evident
And everything foretold it:
Fear gained momentum
Opened jaws, vociferated
And then came from the cold
In the midst of a hurtful glacier
An unusual warm stream of water:
Everyone said no
When Bolivia said yes
And the pendulum comes and goes
And comes back and goes away
And after moving away, it returns
And after returning, it distances itself
And changes the itinerary
And the ships come and go
And those who have everything today
Tomorrow beg for everything
And the wheel does not delay
In reversing destinies
In refreshing memory
And the outbound paths
Into return paths
Transform, because that:
A revolving door
Nothing more than that, is history
