El Día Que Estrenaste El Mundo
Jorge Drexler
The Day You Debuted The World
We photograph everything
We meticulously record
Our lives by the second
But I don't complain
Because I just found that photo
From the day you debuted the world
The day you debuted the world
Me with a sleepy and dreamy face
You in my arms
The first photo
My eyes halfway to the sea
And the tidal wave
That image will walk
Through screens and frames
The first of thousands
Carrying my dreams, my fears, your voice
My Achilles' heel
One day the sails tremble
The waters stir
The sea becomes rough
And your love becomes much greater
Than you previously thought
When you understand that the world is yours
And you continue your course
As a passing bird
I will look for that photo where I learn to be a father
Holding you in my arms
We photograph everything
We meticulously record
Our lives by the second
But I don't complain
Because I just found that photo
From the day you debuted the world
The day you debuted the world
The day you debuted the world
The day you debuted the world
The day you debuted the world
The day you debuted the world
