Coplas de La Luna Llena
Jorge Fandermole
Verses of the Full Moon
When the moon goes down, I go down with it
I fall into the dream and the verse remains
Remains like an aroma that flies in the wind
Or in the singing water that keeps going
If the moon looks at me, I go blind
Through the eyes, I lose heart
I spill to the moon with a lament
And its smooth whiteness I keep following
Oh moon that unleashes my dark blood!
And the longest howl of my bitterness
Don't give my sorrows more detours
Death is looking for me on the way to the river
She turns me into a dark thirsty animal
And dictates the verses of my sorrows
Oh mother of my song and my bad spear
Don't send me on the road to calm my desires!
To return like the bloodied day
To stay already without her desolate love
Don't wait by the river for the full moon
And a red bark is loose in the sand
Little wolfish light of fierce shine
Still in the crescent of fangs
Don't give my sorrows more detours
Death is looking for me on the way to the river
