Lomadas de Mi Entre Ríos
Jorge Méndez
Hills of My Entre Ríos
From the top of a hill
In the evening, I like to see
How the lights of Santa Fe
Throb in the distance
Any little hill of my Entre Ríos
Looks like a watchtower
From whose towers you can see the river
With its unbelievable colors
At sunset
When the red sun goes down
The charm of the islands
I stop to contemplate
Sandy areas and cliffs
The departure of a canoeist
And the occasional white heron
By the Paraná River
Because my land with its landscape
Is what inspires me to sing
In those hills of my Entre Ríos
I want to weave my song
Beloved land that Don Linares
Paints so well in watercolors
With its fishing boats
And the port of Sánchez that I love
