Forbidden Love
Today in this church there's a couple getting married
During the ceremony while the priest speaks, she's crying
She has asked him very specifically to say the mass
He appears happy but there's a sorrow behind his laughter
She will never know that under that cassock there's a forbidden love
She doesn't imagine that he's been in love since they were kids
But his love for god prevailed.. postponing that carnal passion
He would have never untied this bitter denial that the lord has given him
While she kisses her sweet beloved, he's suffering
She doesn't know, but he's suffering inside and dying
Her brand new husband takes her hand and they leave greeting
He bites his lips, holding back his sorrows to not drown in tears
