El Carranguero

The Carranguero
Ah
Gentlemen, I'm going to tell you trying to be honest
And the mess I got into for being a carranguero
It's not that it's a bad job because I've seen that it's good
What happens is that you have to be sharp and not stupid
One Saturday morning, December 2nd to be precise
When for those things of being attentive
I met Valeriano who came up with the story
That up in Morro Caliente supposedly a bull had died
And more for not seeing the wound than knowing what it died of
I arrived at the site in two doliones to make sure better
I asked about the carrango, the young man replied
That they already had it hanging so the sun wouldn't hit it
As on other occasions I had already done the favor
Of taking other carrangos where they would pay better
Faustino, who was the owner, presented me with the situation
And we agreed that I would come back with the truck later
I don't remember if it was him or if it was suddenly me
He who proposed the business that finally came true
The fact was that the man got his carrango
And I got the share of what the man was saved from
And to complete the thing and finish it off
We negotiated in the dark without seeing the fatal color
Color that on the way from red turned to purple
And a little smell, sir, like a wet dog
I already had a feeling about something, that's why I didn't go alone
I took Tiberio too just in case
And luckily it was like that, because I could share
The adventures of a trip that I won't repeat
We arrived with the Carrango around 10:30
And we walked around the square, looking for someone to sell to
I could see that people were looking at us in the streets
Which made me feel uneasy and to check things out
I quickly understood why they were looking
And I confess, gentlemen, that it made me nervous
What I still don't understand is how it got its legs out
If we had them wrapped in leather and in the tarp
Luckily I remember now that when passing by the barracks
The police didn't see anything because I was going over a hundred
If we were going slower or if I decided to stop
We would still be there with the animal
We went looking for a customer and even in neighboring towns
And we were ready to throw it on the road
And around 1 o'clock, we returned again
To the town where a carrango, they say, is never lost
We stopped at the entrance as if waiting for a miracle
Until finally a crazy guy asked about the carrango
He looked at it as if looking at something unintentionally
And I was bargaining for him to take it
And so the story I started is ending
Because the crazy guy took charge and I really don't know why
The fact is that we lost much more than half
But it had to be done no matter what
And if you still want to know about the complete loss
Exactly what it was, 2340 was lost but we have left
From a carrango the expensive experience like a berriondo
But in the end, good
And if I sing it here it's so you keep in mind
That a carrango is not bought without checking the date first
Because it can happen like it happened to me
That because it was the weekend, the carrango got lost!
