De Regreso a Mi Pueblo
Jose Arbey
Back to My Hometown
How great it is to come back to this town
And enjoy the parties with friends
Laugh, have fun with all the locals
Listen to stories, tales, and anecdotes
Drinking booze here in this Samaná
In the afternoons, ride a horse
And have a girl ride pillion
On horseback rides, go up to the neighborhood
Then come down and delight in a tango
Where the action is on Calle Real
How great it is to return to my hometown
How great it is to come back again
As they say, from here straight to heaven
If they send a horse, I'll surely stick with them
Because my heaven is my beautiful Samaná
Every year I save up my earnings
To spend them at the parties
Where Ovidio, Ancizar, where El piojo
In Fantasía or in Faroles, I hang out
In my little tavern, or at Acuarios to dance
Where I say goodbye to Alquiver with a half
And return to the city all buzzed
To work diligently and consistently
Save my bucks, that's what I long for
To come back again next year
How great it is to return to my hometown
How great it is to come back again
As they say, from here straight to heaven
If they send horses, I'll surely stick with them
Because my heaven is my beautiful Samaná
Because my heaven is my beautiful Samaná
