People are mean and gossip,
how, not being by my side,
I can love you so much
and to your charms
I am tied.
People are always the same..
They don't think they do wrong
and pour indifferent
the most hurtful word
on the tender thought
at the moment
when one is dying of love.

And they say I don't love you
because they don't see me with you...
If they only knew that in the soul we hold
our dreams tightly...
If they only knew that we both love each other
even though we are apart...
How many are there who, being together, don't love each other
and don't know about this love inside me!...

Love has always been the same
in the why of life;
there have always been and still are
those who, lying,
show their wound...
And try to deceive
the one who knows how to love...
But those who, lying,
go on talking and hurting
are, perhaps, those who have wanted
and have not been able
