My Homeland
I come from the fields
From this great land of God
I come after your affection
Your gentle smiles
As the golden sun rises
I ride along the road
My horse is very swift
It doesn't tire on the journey
In the green plains of my Rio Grande
Everything is beauty, there's no sadness
The heart lives happily
And the night descends full of stars
Then it's lovely to see the handsome gauchos
With guitar and accordion in hand
Everyone sings their loves
Putting their hand on their heart
The accordion cries in the yard
The pine groans in the shed
Who doesn't love Rio Grande
Doesn't know what it is to live
Leaves the good side of life
To suffer and endure
