Como Si Fuera Un Lázaro
José Larralde
As If I Were a Lazarus
You came to me like I arrived innocent in the morning
you put vertigo in my still blood with your voice
your skin turned pale in the warm dawn of your wisdom
and it was that kiss that covered my nostalgia with sweetness.
Still life because of the immense cold of nothingness
I came back to life as if I were a Lazarus before Christ
and I started crying as if I were a madman,
as if I were sane
like men cry out of love.
And in the daily return of that kiss I live like this
as if I were a bird without shadow or fatigue
that when it feels cold it snuggles between your arms.
Nature full of illusion and song in the word
I live again as if I were a Lazarus before Christ
and I start laughing as if I were a madman,
as if I were sane
like men laugh out of love.
Nature full of illusion and song in the word
I live again as if I were a Lazarus before Christ
and I start laughing as if I were a madman,
as if I were sane
like men laugh out of love.
