El Alpedero, La Mina Y El Alpedito
José Larralde
The Lazy One, The Mine, and The Little Lazy One
He spent his time lying down, belly up
like a squashed toad under a wheel
his boldest journey was down the path
and he had a job
cascades of mate pushed
his garlic burps.
He retired from laziness at 50
he was The Lazy One, with a linty belly button
one day he snagged a fluke
and plugged it into the maid
he rushed her in a hurry to the outhouse
and she didn't even notice.
He suffered an undeserved heart attack
from the mate, didn't even strain on the toilet
and the tears that the poor woman spat out
for her deceased loved one.
He's in the empty plate, in the kitchen
of this messed up situation
luckily time passes and the woman sees
her Little Lazy One all grown up.
