Entrerriano Y Argentino
José Larralde
Entrerriano and Argentine
I've been missing for a while
from the Entrerrian lands.
And although I'm eager,
I only have to dream about it.
I've been thinking for a while
about getting close to its hills
and lying down under a tala tree
to fill myself with wonders.
Give a string to the stream
or a cartridge to the grassland
and with the whistle of a jacket
be able to feel like a wild horse.
Entre Ríos, tough land,
how I wish to return
and tangled with a guitar
feel alive again.
About a league more or less
south of Villaguay
there's a ranch colored by time,
get off if you're around.
Maybe you won't find the boss
because he's a man of the road,
a friend of reason,
Entrerrian and Argentine.
Remember that there's shelter there
and fresh water for thirst,
Pancho Velásquez's ranch,
if you're around, get off.
Entre Ríos, tough land,
how I wish to return
and tangled with a guitar
feel alive again.
and tangled with a guitar
feel alive again.
