Se canso de esperar
José Luis Perales
Got tired of waiting
She got tired of waiting
and fell asleep
at around three,
she had in front of her
that empty armchair.
it was probably
the first time.
the fire was fading,
in a white silence
the sun kissed her forehead and she woke up.
Who would have stolen her heart?
Who would have pampered her?
Where would she have spent the night?
Who would have kissed her?
Who would have made her coffee today?
Who would have woken her up?
Who would have caressed her back?
Who would have loved her?
The morning began
and on the clock
it was almost 10,
she heard his steps
going up the stairs,
and she dressed in pride
to not cry,
he remained silent
and looked into her eyes,
caressed her hands
conquered her.
Who would have stolen her heart?
Who would have pampered her?
Where would she have spent the night?
Who would have kissed her?
Who would have made her coffee today?
Who would have woken her up?
Who would have caressed her back?
Who would have loved her?
