How time has passed
It seems like yesterday when they played
Building castles in the sand
And a cabin in that tree in the garden
Splashing in the water
From the puddles formed by the rain
Passing time without hurry
How time has passed
It seems like yesterday when they cried
On their first day of school
And on their first punishment without television
How time has flown
From their first bike ride
Through those deserted streets
One day like happy swallows
They will fly out of any window
To discover the other side of the river
And to get to know the other side of the world
They will say goodbye to innocence
When their morning dawns

It seems like yesterday when they played
Flying those kites
In that blue sky with cotton clouds
Fighting a thousand battles
With the winter snow settled
Filling the air with celebration
One day they will say goodbye to everything
And fill their luggage with dreams
They will have their freedom to live it
And a whole adventure ahead
