Marruecos
José Luis Perales
Morocco
Ah ah ah ah and oh!, and ah and oh!
Ah ah ah ah and oh!, and ah and oh!
He left his country
Caressing a dream,
He sought the dark night of the sea
And began to row alone.
Like a sea wolf
He looked back
And could see in silhouette
Morocco sobbing.
Ah ah ah ah and oh!, and ah and oh!
Ah ah ah ah and oh!, and ah and oh!
He thought he would discover the promised land
And recited some verses from the Quran
Trying to find
A way out of such loneliness.
The moon came out
And painted the sea silver,
It's time to arrive.
Ah ah ah ah and oh!, and ah and oh!
Ah ah ah ah and oh!, and ah and oh!
He felt the kiss of the sand under his feet
And remembered the desert he left,
The sun rose again and upon waking up
A man called him.
There is no place here
For those who arrive uninvited,
You can go back.
Ah ah ah ah and oh!, and ah and oh!
Ah ah ah ah and oh!, and ah and oh!
