Final Ruin

Final Ruin
We were a short story
That we both read
And although the story was slow
It's true it could have ended better
I was left breathless
It left me speechless
Because for just a moment
I saw a new ending but it slipped away
And we fell like dominoes
This was the never-ending story
The one that can't be unraveled like this
I don't want this to be the end
If I remember the beginning
Once upon a time
And although the story was short
I would read it many times
I always read it attentively
I still don't understand
Those four elements
Narrative, neither before nor after
It seems like it's in Cantonese
This was the never-ending story
Whose plot was circular
And endless
It no longer makes sense without you
A story shouldn't rhyme
But I love to raise the difficulty
I end stanzas the same every pair
I know a story shouldn't rhyme
I've tried prose but it doesn't work
Especially in this one so particular
We were a short story
That we both read
This was the never-ending story!
Failed its purpose and had a
Final Ruin
I was hoping for a happy ending
It doesn't make sense without you
