Questa O Quella
Joseph Calleja
This One or That One
This one or that one, to me they are equal
To how many others around me I see
I do not yield the empire of my heart
Better to one beauty than another
Their charm is like a gift
With which fate adorns our lives
If today this one pleases me
Perhaps another tomorrow will
The constancy, tyrant of the heart
We detest like a cruel disease
Only those who want to remain faithful should
There is no love if there is no freedom
The jealous fury of husbands
I ridicule the anxieties of lovers
I even challenge the hundred eyes of Argus
If some beauty pricks me
