Daniel Na Cova Dos Leões

Daniel, innocent was thrown
Says the Bible, in the lion's den
Just because they saw him kneeling
And praying to God in his prayers

And those who saw, complained to the king
About the decree signed in the scripture
For all who did not follow the law
To be devoured by the lions

Daniel, being a man of God
Did not obey what the king commanded
He prayed, sought the power of heaven
To show that his God is the Lord

And the mouths of the lions were shut
They did no harm to Daniel
With the angel of the Lord always by his side
The prophet remained faithful

If the believer is faithful to this God
As the prophet Daniel was
We find deliverance from heaven
Because Christ is the eternal Emmanuel

He does not leave us abandoned
Always reaching out his hand
We must always be watchful
Waiting in Jesus for redemption
