Better Days Will Come
I wake up early, get up and get ready to head out
The light outside is dim, the wind blows hard and brings the chill
The rain is already falling and the storm has begun
But still I go out and get soaked because the sun is on its way
In the darkness is where I see the stars
Looking up I find the light
But if I'm scared I keep moving forward
For Christ promises: Better days will come
If I open my eyes and don’t recognize where I am
If I keep walking in circles and never get anywhere
Fallen I find myself so I drop to my knees before the Lord
Then I get up and carry on, I have Christ with me
In the darkness is where I see the stars
Looking up I find the light

If I have a good day, maybe a bad day
I need to be grateful to Jesus
If I have to choose, I choose to smile and be happy
