Pa' Trabajar
Juan Carlos Baglietto
To Work
The soul makes the body
the body makes the man
the tongue to its words
and so we ruin everything from the beginning
without meaning to say anything.
We play at stirring up the crowds
in the squares and in the neighborhoods
we must join some party
like buying certain newspapers
although we must start anew
let's learn from the past ...
The wolf always eats the lamb
if it stays seated.
The man is the mirror of his actions
no matter, the wet tears will dry
weaving a smile in tomorrow
that helps to work
that helps to work.
Today we are like a tree in winter
devoid of green leaves
today we are the accumulated future
on the sidewalk across the street.
Today we are the fruit of the harvest,
the adolescent seed
we have such a big house
and each in their kiosk.
Let's see if one of these days we look at it
to see if it's not someone else's
let's see if one of these days we look at it
we will see ourselves.
The man is a mirror ...
