El Mas Criticado

Juan Freer Juan Freer

The Most Criticized

How life changes, money's gone
All my worries disappeared, the only thing I
Stay alert for is to watch out for the talkers
Many look at me, but they’ve never treated me
And they claim I’m trash, they think they know me
But things have changed, and some even apologize to me

There are many who say they’re family just
Because we share the same blood, they’re so wrong
I don’t roll in the mud, buddy
I always keep my line drawn so they don’t start crossing it
And where they disrespected my mom is where I’ll never go near

"You’ve changed," they’ve told me, I appreciate it
Thanks for noticing, they say luck’s on my side now
Without knowing all the struggles I’ve faced
Those comments made me stronger
Let me tell you, they’ve failed, I know they’re dying to see me
Down and out, it won’t be easy, keep trying

With my eyes always looking ahead, I’m thinking of all my goals
It’s incredible what I’ve achieved, everything I dreamed of as a kid
Life sometimes throws a thousand surprises, I was the most criticized
They compared me for not going to school, now look how far I’ve come
Sometimes when I want to unwind, I hit the gas and the sports car roars
Life’s full of ups and downs, don’t get dazzled when the shine comes

Sometimes I have plenty of cash, and other times I’ve even
Lost it, that’s why I’m always reserved, I have my luxuries but I’m simple
I’ll say goodbye, I’ll keep working so there’s always food at home, it’s my time
And I want to make the most of it, I’m done struggling

To my friends, I extend my hand, I don’t forget
Those who supported me, much less those who turned their backs
No worries, we’ll see each other around the corner.
