Every time I walk through the streets of Juarez
they bring back many memories of when I was a child
I seem to see the people
whom I remember with much affection

My neighborhood has changed a lot
little by little, more houses are being built
with water, gas, and electricity
I don't want the same poverty to be breathed
which saddens me since my youth

The lady friends of my mother
when will I forget them
never
they are all lovely
I bless each one on behalf of her and me
may God bless them

With affection and respect, I remember all my teachers
because I am part of them
today I long for all those years
memories of moments that I miss today
