Bendito Domingo
Juan Gabriel
Blessed Sunday
I don’t know why you left,
I don’t know why you didn’t come back.
I don’t know, and honestly, I don’t want to know why.
What I do know is that..
You left, and with you went
A ton of hopes.
They left, along with many dreams,
So many emotions.
You promised me you’d return, but nothing,
Suddenly, you forgot that I was waiting for you.
You said you’d come back on a Sunday, and Sundays came,
But that blessed Sunday never showed up.
And I stayed here waiting, counting the days,
Crying through the afternoons, spending the nights without sleep.
Now it pains me even more, if you happen to come back,
Don’t find me, not anymore.
I’m leaving too, just like you, but I don’t know where to go.
I only know that Sunday after Sunday, you’ll cry.
