Yo Quiero Un Pais
Juan Medici
I Want A Country
I live in a country in perpetual war over ideologies
Where they fight over many silly things
Where tranquility went to sleep
A country
Where it's a sin to think differently
Where being independent is punished
For raising your voice, they can destroy you
I want a country, where red and blue shake hands
And we treat each other like brothers again
I don't know if that's too much to ask
I want a country, where we all forget resentment
Like one day our liberator dreamed
Only together can we build it
My country
Now in my country, whoever calls for change is a traitor
Keeping silent is always the best option
If you don't agree with those around you
Why in my country is politics causing so much harm?
There are brothers who haven't spoken in years
And neighbors who don't even want to see each other
I want a country, where red and blue shake hands
And we treat each other like brothers again
I don't know if that's too much to ask
I want a country, where we all forget resentment
Like one day our liberator dreamed
Only together can we build it
My country
I want a country, where red and blue shake hands
And we treat each other like brothers again
I don't know if that's too much to ask
I want a country, where we all forget resentment
Like one day our liberator dreamed
Only together can we build it
My country
