Estrellas

Stars
Roadside bar, six in the morning
Only three customers, four owners, and five me
We drank in silence, like the tired ones do
And things of the night began to sound in my voice
I never had luck, nor many friends, and I've fought so hard to love
But it's a new hurt, with my new year
I found out that an angel fell in love with me
And I met the heavens, and I learned to fly them
And I lived on earth by chance
A bad star stole my angel
She envied her for her light and warmth
I no longer believe in stars; from here they may seem good
But they steal loves with their light
And if you then chase them, if you talk to them and ask for them
They won't light your way; and you find yourself in any bar in the morning
