Sombras y noches
Juan Seren
Shadows and Nights
When the sun took hold and drowned you at dawn
A sip of words darkened the bar
That once brought us together in shadows and nights
From that dark summer that turned into loneliness
Looks like this time the bill really messed up
And in the mouths of others' noise, I built up my pride
And in that big half of jealousy for my own pain
You left our warmth behind in the café
I thought in the end it didn’t matter
To take back the bad skill
Than to keep losing the game in circles
And I messed up for being a loser
I don’t know why I loved you so suddenly
If you left me twice, my love
It closed in your skin its fright and slowly
The sky wanted to pull us apart
It will be, so it will be, by mere chance
God set you for me, God will take you away from me
There’s no cry that resigns; shadows are the night
From that dark summer that was my eternity
Looks like this time the bill really messed up
And in the mouths of others' noise, I built up my pride
And in that big half of jealousy for my own pain
You left our warmth behind in the café
I thought in the end it didn’t matter
To take back the bad skill
Than to keep losing the game in circles
And I messed up for being a loser
I don’t know why I loved you so suddenly
If you left me twice, my love
It closed in your skin its fright and slowly
The sky wanted to pull us apart
