Flores de Primavera

Spring Flowers
There's an hour left till the party's over
And I'm the only one still at the table
Among the leftovers and half-empty cups, it's just me, oh-oh
I saw her friends throwing up in the bathroom
The other one swore love to a stranger
And this is just the first night of the year
What could be worse?
And sadness dims my dress
That I bought with lost time
From a shitty job I never wanted
I have it all and nothing (nothing feels like mine)
What's wrong with being in the club of the disappointed?
If no one really cares about this dance of the unfortunate
Anyway, tonight I'm raising my flag
I tell everyone, no matter who it hurts
Not all of us are spring flowers
La-la-ra-la-la
La-la-ra-la-la
La-la-ra-la-la
Not all of us are spring flowers
Life belongs to those who dance barefoot
They prefer the grass over a pair of shoes
Not everything blooms at the same time
There are flowers growing in the water and others in the concrete
I still remember the day I told myself it was too much for me
My damn impostor syndrome
I could overcome everything and I thought I couldn't
What's wrong with being in the club of the disappointed?
No one really cares about this dance of the unfortunate
Anyway, tonight I'm raising my flag
I tell everyone, no matter who it hurts
Not all of us are spring flowers
Winter flowers, and flowers in vases
Little purple flowers, fields full of sunflowers
That bloom in bunches and wait for the rain
And others brave in the desert growing alone with the Moon
Aromatic, wild ones floating in the tide
And others in the middle of the asphalt making their way wherever
Flowers in the middle of the cemetery for those who go to a better place
And welcome flowers for those who just arrived
What's wrong with being in the club of the disappointed?
If no one really cares about this dance of the unfortunate
Anyway, tonight I'm raising my flag
I tell everyone, no matter who it hurts
Not all of us are spring flowers
