Life
Nobody chooses their family, nor their race when they are born
Nor if they are rich, poor, foolish, gentle, brave or cowardly
We are born from a decision we were not consulted about
And nobody can promise the outcomes
When we are born we don't know what our name will be
And what our path will be, nor what the future holds
Between baptism and farewell, each one makes their way
And this decision shapes their destiny
We are that extra card in a game that has already begun
And each one will bet the hand of what has been inherited
Life is a door, where they don't charge you for entry
And the soul is the ticket that living tears when you stop
And each step is a footprint
And the footprint is a story
And each story is a flame that ignites in memory
And the tide of time carries and brings our contradictions
Between return and farewell, fears heal
Each friend is the family we choose among strangers
Between waiting and meeting, we learn with the years
And only consciousness answers our spirit
And that being tough is one thing and being human is another
Nobody chooses their family, nor their race when they are born
Nor if they are rich, poor, foolish, gentle, brave or cowardly
We are born from a decision we were not consulted about
Life is seeking an outcome
(I feel the world differently, where this love never ends)
