Vivencias

Today I returned to my home,
where as a child I left one day
with dreams, sorrows,
and nostalgia inside me;
I was seeking life
like the night seeks the light,
firm in what I believed,
blind in my youth.

Twenty years back then
and a path to walk
with strength in my hands
and in my soul a dreaming.

Twenty years that now,
looking back,
are experiences of a time
that I won't forget.

And I still remember the days
when I was happy for nothing,
when I gave everything
without hope of receiving.

And I could tell you
about so many people I met,
about the days and nights,
paths I traveled.
