Carnival of Life
Among the shadows,
vegetating alive,
without a light
shining before my eyes,
and indifferent,
I curse my existence,
believing in nothing,
nor loving anyone.
Already without loves
and with faith extinguished,
I laugh at the wrath
of my fate;
life has no purpose
for me
if the heart
has preceded death.
Even hope is lost,
I laugh at the wrath
of my fate;
what a foolish carnival life is!
what a sweeter comfort death is!
