Lamento Guaqueri

Guaqueri Lament
I come from humble people and that makes me happy
My father is a fisherman of Guaiqueri Indian race
My mother was born in a small town in the country
A hard-to-find fighter woman
We were seven siblings from her
But one has already died, my mother has suffered
So much since he passed away
Only one son remains by her side
With a woman he loved
But who betrayed me
We were seven siblings from her
But one has already died, my mother has suffered
So much since he passed away
Only one son remains by her side
With a woman he loved
But who betrayed me
Honestly, in my town I didn't have education
Because since I was very young, I was just a fisherman
My greatest desire has always been to be a singer
To make my compositions with care and love
A part of my life I tell you today
I come from the east and the plains, I am a singer
Today I live in the capital looking for a solution
To bring a gift made into a song to my people
A part of my life I tell you today
I come from the east and the plains, I am a singer
Today I live in the capital looking for a solution
To bring a gift made into a song to my people
