Cuando Era Mía Mi Vieja
Julio Sosa
When My Old Lady Was Mine
Neighbor, don't pay attention to me,
Or look at me suspiciously,
If I've been standing
In front of your house for a while.
Seeing you, it seems to me
That my mom is at the gate,
Because this house was mine,
When my old lady was mine...
The neighborhood has changed
And today, arriving from afar,
I see that only here hasn't changed
The little house of the old folks.
Even the iron fence
From there seems to speak to me,
And you look at me and your dog
Barks at me as if to chase me away...
Neighbor, if you only knew,
Now I'm a stranger,
However, back then I was
From the neighborhood... but years ago.
Back then, when my old lady
Was the homeowner,
This whole house was mine,
Because my old lady was mine.
