Justo El 31
Julio Sosa
Just the 31st
Five days ago, crazy with joy
I live in motion like a carousel
She who expected to catch me off guard
Just on the thirty-first, I beat her to it
A neighbor told me, the crazy foreigner
When she saw the room without a pin
She ate the rope for hanging clothes
That was in the rush what I forgot
It was a crazy monkey that came down from a tree
One hungry night that saw me pass by
It threw me a little coconut, I, being naive
I fell for it in the dark and took her to the room!
I know I entered the room and lit the candle
I know I turned around to see her well
She was so ugly that I saw her, and screamed
Then I don't remember, I fainted!
I endured her sorrow, almost four months
Between the teasing of all the coffee
They threw nuts at me, while shouting at me
There goes, sarrasani with the chimpanzee!
Luckily the lefty, who's right-handed
Watered the fern when it was about to rise
And the double-cross of catching me off guard
Just on the thirty-first, I cut her off!
