One day, by the sea
A young Galilean appeared
No one could imagine
That someone could love the way he loved

Someone took the young Galilean
No one knew what was wrong
And the crime he did; what were his sins
His honest way of denouncing
Shook the position of some privileged

And they killed Jesus of Nazareth
And in the midst of thieves they put his cross
But the world still fears Jesus
Who had so much love

Victorious, he rose
After three days he returned to life
Resurrected, he dies no more
He is with the Father
For he is the eternal Son
For he lives in every home
And where a fraternal heart is found

We proclaim Jesus of Nazareth
Glorious triumphant God is with us
He is the Christ, the reason for our faith
And one day he will return!
