Wellerman (Sea Shanty)

Wellerman (Sea Shanty)
A ship once wanted to sail
Its name was the Teapot of the Sea
The wind blew and its bow sank
Row, boys, row
Soon the whaler will come
And sugar, and tea, and rum he will bring
When our singing stops
It will be time to set sail
After a fortnight at sea
With a whale, it went to meet
The captain made a vow
That he would give chase
Before hitting the sea
The whale rose and he could catch it
With his hands and a harpoon, he fought
But the whale escaped
The fight continues between the two
Although the captain is not boastful
His creed is to have courage
And he held on to it
Forty days have passed
And the fight only increases
There are no ships beyond
And she won't stop
Rumors say
The battle still stands
And the whaler will cry out
Courage to the captain!
Soon the whaler will come
And sugar, and tea, and rum he will bring
When our singing stops
It will be time to set sail
Soon the whaler will come
And sugar, and tea, and rum he will bring
When our singing stops
It will be time to set sail
Soon the whaler will come
And sugar, and tea, and rum he will bring
When our singing stops
It will be time to set sail
