Cantico de Las Criaturas

1.- Blessed be you, my lord,

With all your creatures,
Especially for brother sun,
Who resembles you.

Blessed be you, my lord,
For the moon and the stars,
You have made them precious and beautiful,
Clear in the darkness.

Blessed be you, my lord,
For the cloudy and serene weather
And for the wind that clears us
Beating against our faces.

Blessed be you, my lord,
For the clean sister water
She is useful, humble, and pure,
It seeps through our insides.

Almighty most high, my good lord,
Yours is the glory and the honor
And all your blessing. (repeat)

2.- Blessed be you, my lord,
For our brother fire
He is joyful, strong, and beautiful,
He gives us light and warmth.

Blessed be you, my lord,
For sister mother earth,
She produces fruits, flowers, and herbs,
She sustains us and carries us.

Blessed be you, my lord,
For our sister death
From which no one can escape.
Praise and bless.

Blessed be you, my lord,
For sister friendship
Which is very necessary
For the heart of man.
