Calendula Requiem
Kanon Wakeshima
Calendula Requiem
Releasing the light of the morning
Seeking the rain that won't fall
Reaching a sleep that won't come
A voice softly calling someone
Is the dark paradise
A lie or a dream
What will be lost is the body
And the heart called oneself
Offering that temptation
What can be obtained?
Life is so fragile
And fleeting enough to be stolen by tears
Everything comes to
An end
Is it lamenting 'terror'?
Singing the requiem of the end
Quietly blooming
Both hatred
And sadness
Gather with that sound
Singing the requiem of the end
Moistening the loneliness
Seeking the rain that won't fall
Reaching a sleep that won't come
Interweaving memories and love
Tonight's love
Being dyed in the ebb and flow
Of past and present
The soul that reaches its destination
What will it see?
To protect with these hands
The betrayal is too great
Believing in a love seen every day
Wanting to survive the moment
Singing the requiem of the end
Quietly blooming
Both beloved
And cherished
Enveloped in that ring
Singing the requiem of the end
Moistening the loneliness
Seeking the rain that won't fall
Reaching a sleep that won't come
When the time comes for hope and despair to turn to nothing
You will realize the true possession
Living is painful
But I want to be here
The sound of the heart creaking
Is evidence that it's still alive
Even if I become lonely
Singing the requiem of the end
Quietly blooming
Both hatred
And sadness
Draw near with that sound
Singing the requiem of the end
Moistening the loneliness
Seeking the rain that won't fall
Reaching a sleep that won't come
So as not to wither this flower
I challenge the weight of the defiant earth
The echoing requiem of mourning
Melts into the dry wind
