Lange Wapper
Katastroof
The Tall Wapper
it was night, a drunken night
the bar is closing and I’m flying outside
it’s way too late, at dawn
I hear the little birds already chirping
suddenly there’s a giant in front of me
his legs are just like some kind of bridge
the Tall Wapper is back
he's big, incredibly big
and lanky and thin and also very strong
he's rough, incredibly sly
doesn’t like whiners and the church
and when I swing while I sing
I still get chills running down my back
the Tall Wapper is back
sometimes he’s small, but that’s just a trick
then his antics start all over again
then he grows high above the square
peeking in through all the windows
for sweet ladies on the corners of the street
he’s no longer just infamous
the Tall Wapper is back
he's angry, incredibly angry
for what the gentlemen are all doing
you can feel that hate everywhere
even in the churches and mosques
it’s time for things to change and improve
and preferably really fast
the Tall Wapper is back
