Harp Tones (feat. Faun & Oliver S. Tyr)
There lived a farmer by the shore
Harp tones were sweet and fine
He had two lovely daughters
The older said to the younger
Harp tones were sweet and fine
Let’s go down to the river
The younger walked ahead like the sun
The older followed like a snake in the ground
The younger sat down on a stone
The older pushed her, she wasn’t slow
She stretched out her white hand
And shouted, "Sister, help me to land!"
"If I don’t help you
Your boyfriend will marry me instead!"
There were two shepherds on the shore
And they saw the body wash ashore
They took a bone from her body
And made a harp from it, oh so lovely
They took two locks of her hair
And the harp got golden strings to wear
To the sister’s wedding, the harp was brought
And on a stump there, it was laid and caught
It was later that night
That the harp played all by itself, what a sight
When the first string sounded
It told of the bride’s wicked deeds, confounded
When the second string struck
The bride stood frozen, out of luck
When the third string rang out
The evil sister fell down, no doubt.
