Little Emily
Little Emily, 6 and a half
Is the only daughter of a rebuilt family
A mother for whom she is everything
And a stepfather who loves her as if she were his own
So kind, so beautiful, eyes that enchant
For her mother's eyes, she was the apple of them
She couldn't live without her
Their relationship had become more than just close
Little Emily, now 8 years old
Nothing has changed except she moved
No more isolated countryside
She now lives in the city because her mom was transferred
A new school, new friends
She didn't take long to adapt to this life
At the age of 8, we can say she's thrilled
Because everything is going well for little Emily
Little Emily, at 10 years old
Had become a fulfilled little girl
We can say she enjoyed school
A good student, a pride for her mom
A bit chubby, with cute cheeks
She faced criticism from a few jealous ones
In front of the teachers, they called her Greedy-guts
But they're just kids after all
Little Emily, now 12 years old
A withdrawn teenager, much to her mom's dismay
Gone is the pretty smiling face
She has become a sullen little girl now
It must be said that everything had changed at school
Too many students were just mocking her
Everywhere she felt rejected
Sometimes hit and sometimes insulted
She wondered how to cope
She had become the class punching bag
On social media, they called her The Disgusting One
Photos of her circulated showing her belly sticking out
Not knowing how to handle it
Or how to react to this hell
Out of shame and not wanting to worry her mother
Little Emily decided to stay silent
But one December evening
Little Emily came home naked
Her classmates, all together
Had locked her in the locker room to shower her
It was too much for her
Too much for her to bear
So she spread her wings
And took flight towards peace
