Longing for Zion
The scenario was sad
Israel exiled, distressed lamenting
They had been warned, but they ignored
Preferring not to listen, what God commanded the prophet to say
And the price was high
But they despised and wanted to risk
So the weeping was bitter
But it was God putting order in the house
God allowed the enemy
To humiliate, despise, and mock
Saying: Sing now, play harps now
Accept this situation!
Rejoice here, don't miss living there in Zion
In Zion
In modern days, the singer no longer sings
And the preacher forgot to speak more about Heaven
Few are those who announce salvation
After all, that's no longer profitable
Only talk of revenge, or of prosperity
Holiness for what? If the business is to sell
But that's a forgotten value
It's a lack of commitment to God's word
God, of God
So many believers being led by the world
Imitating what's in the world, wanting what's in the world
Forgetting that Holiness still matters
Whoever prefers Babylon, won't return to Jerusalem
But the church is still Holy, Washed, Redeemed
It's separated, for it's chosen
And it doesn't conform and doesn't intimidate
It longs for Zion, it's not corrupted
It has no blemish, it's immaculate, not asleep
Continues prepared and remains Faithful
For it longs for the Groom who is in Heaven
