Behind the Books

With blows, against the ground, he unleashes his anger and fear. He tries to understand, because suffering is his lot. He wakes up, crying, in the middle of his night and in his loneliness he finds himself, sitting on the edge of the abyss and the pain pushes him mercilessly.

He hides behind the books, not even allowed in school anymore, threatening notes that reach his desk, his patience runs out and he doesn't know what to do, whether to tell what's happening to him, or keep it to himself.

CHORUS

And he starts to cry, every awakening, afraid to face his harsh reality. He doesn't understand why he must remain silent, and fear steals the words to speak. He tries to laugh, to speak without trembling. But the insults hurt more than every blow they give him. Alone. Thinks it's better not to have been born, than to live to cry.

He starts another day, determined to break his cowardice, he doesn't want to suffer anymore, and he's tired of crying. He tells his father about every blow and insult he had to endure. He trusts and doesn't run away, finally leaving behind his dark reality. Ahh. He's no longer alone, he has someone by his side, they gave him the life that the strength took away. And they suffered in silence, everything he suffered. Now the fear is gone and is part of his past.

CHORUS X2

And he starts to laugh, every awakening, without fear of facing his new reality, he doesn't understand why he remained silent, and fear stole the words to speak. Now he can laugh, speak without trembling. He feels supported by people who will always love him. Nowwww, he thinks it's better to have spoken, than to live to cry.
